How wagering requirements work

A wagering requirement (or playthrough) is how many times you must bet the bonus — and sometimes the deposit too — before winnings become withdrawable. A €100 bonus at 35× wagering means €3,500 in bets. Whether it applies to the bonus only or the deposit + bonus makes a huge difference, so always check which. Lower is better: at or below 20× is player-friendly, while 50×+ is hard to clear.

Is a bigger bonus always better?

No. A large match with a high wagering requirement can be worth less than a small bonus with fair terms. The playthrough and the max-bet rule matter more than the headline percentage.

What does 'wagering applies to deposit + bonus' mean?

It means the requirement is calculated on your deposit plus the bonus, not just the bonus — roughly doubling the amount you must bet. 'Bonus only' is far more favourable.

What is a fair wagering requirement?

For most casino bonuses, 30–35× the bonus is standard. Below 20× is generous; above 50× is demanding and rarely worth clearing unless the bonus is large.
