What a game provider actually decides

The studio behind a slot sets almost everything that matters before a casino ever lists it. It writes the maths — the published return to player and the volatility band — designs the features, and submits the random number generator to an independent testing lab. A casino chooses which studios to carry; it does not change how their games pay. How we assess a studio

We look at four things: the size and variety of the catalogue, the average published RTP across its titles, the licences and independent testing behind it, and how consistent its releases are. A small studio with sharply built games routinely outranks a larger one leaning on volume — Push Gaming has fewer than fifty titles here and a higher average return than several catalogues ten times its size.

Licensing and independent testing

Studios are regulated in their own right. A supplier licence from a regulator such as the Malta Gaming Authority or the UK Gambling Commission is separate from the operator's licence, and it is what allows a studio's games to appear in that market at all.
