Ontario is a different country, regulatorily speaking
Ontario opened a competitive licensed market in April 2022, and it is the only Canadian province where private online casinos operate under a local licence. Operators register with the AGCO and contract with iGaming Ontario, accept audited game standards and advertising rules, and answer to a regulator inside the province.
The practical effect is that many international brands run a separate Ontario-facing site — usually on a Canadian domain, with a distinct account, distinct promotions and no bonus advertising, because Ontario bars public inducement advertising.
If you are in Ontario, the Ontario-licensed version of a brand is the one to use. Your existing account on the brand's international site is not the same product and is not covered by the same protections.
Everywhere else: monopoly sites and a tolerated grey market
